Hey lunch buddies.  I’m off from work this week which means doubling down on family time and getting a few other items wrapped up before the new year.   As I mentioned last week, a complete redesign for is underway and I’m hopeful it is launched before the end of the month.

I’ll keep this message short and sweet.  Merry Christmas in advance and I hope everyone has some well-deserved time off between now and the new year.

What’s important?
You can now look at your data by property sets.  It’s not a sexy update but your SEO team should be salivating any additional data points Google is willing to hand them.  If you have multiple web properties but aren’t utilizing property sets – it’s something you should prioritize come the new year.
Nick’s take:
This isn’t a huge update but it’s well worth the time to make sure your property sets are configured appropriately.
This update can make data points such as  cross domain canonicalization or even HREFlang even more valuable.

SEO Tips & Advice

John Mueller had a recent Google hangout where he walked his audience through international optimization and how to best configure websites for Google search.  Barry actually has a nice post recapping some of John’s slides.

If your site is configured for multi languages, you should definitely go through each slide.  For those familiar with HrefLang implementation and GEO targeting nothing should be new but will serve as a good checklist to monitor your sites.
