Hi Lunch Buddies!

I’ve been teasing you all for a few weeks about one of the BEST SEO books I’ve ever read. The Ultimate Guide to Link Building by Garrett French and Eric Ward (RIP).

These gentlemen are highly regarded in the SEO space. Their combined knowledge of link building and the success they’ve had over their careers is incredibly impressive.

While this book is more than worth the $21.00 charged on Amazon, I’m giving away SIX copies of the book to six lucky #SEOForLunch subscribers.

I’ll be announcing the winners in TWO weeks. Good Luck!

Article: Google’s Launching Google Search Console Insights (BETA)

What’s Important:
Rumors starting flying the other week that Google was launching a GSC/Analytics tool. Barry confirms he has seen the tool and breaks down the reports/data we will (hopefully soon) all have access to.

Nick’s Take:
This looks really cool. Not sure how much of this will be net new vs being able to view GA data within GSC. Also, no word on if the page-level details are available to GSC accounts who don’t have a GA account.

How SEO, Outreach & Content Led Canva’s $6B Valuation
Written by Ross Simmonds, Foundation INC
“Backlinks are dead”. “Google doesn’t rely on links anymore”. “Linking is blackhat SEO”. All of these comments are regularly spewed by people in the industry. The reality is that link building (when done correctly) is insanely hard. But when you do it right and in conjunction with a larger SEO strategy it’s what helps you dominate the SERPs. Kudos to Conva team.
