April 23rd, 2019

Hey, lunch buddies. For those who celebrate, I hope you had a great Easter weekend.

I’m writing this email en route to Chicago. Two main points to this trip. Attend a key strategy meeting for a client and then conduct an SEO training for a team in our companies Chicago office.

If you’re from the Chicago area and have pizza recommendations, please hit reply and let me know. I can’t possibly fly into town without searching for a deep dish pizza. All recommendations are appreciated!

Last but not least. Shout out to @MattDolge who was kind enough to help me out with some CSS issues on I love how #SEOForLunch subscribers are so awesome and willing to help each other out.

On to this weeks newsletter.

These types of insights are notorious for driving SEOs crazy. You can read into these responses in so many different ways. What I take from it is that links are still important but so are so many other factors that go into the ranking algorithm. It’s also interesting to infer that links can play a bigger role in some niches where others it may not be as important.
