Article: Google confirms deindexing issue and it’s not fixed yet.

What’s important?
Over the weekend, many webmasters reported a drop in organic traffic. This is due to a Google issue (on their end) causing certain pages to fall out of its own index.

Nick’s take:
Google has confirmed on Twitter that they are aware of the issue and are in the process of addressing the issue. If your websites organic performance was recently impacted look to isolate the pages you’re seeing the drop and confirm in Google Search Console that the page is indeed still indexed.

I really enjoy Mike’s posts because he tells it exactly how it is.  If you’ve caught any of his recent posts you know he’s been calling out Google regarding the amount of local ‘GMB’ spam you still find in the search results.  This is yet another good example.
